Apparently he had referred to male senators with the use of "sir". Now, I wonder what a career military man would use to address people of higher rank or due respect, something he's probably done all of his career... hmmm, probably "Sir" or "Ma'am". Ofcourse, he should have taken a cue from his current Commander-in-Chief and called her "sweetie". And you know what is sad? Boxer probably now realizes that she might have a little egg on her face, but her treatment of this general probably makes her even more popular in California....
