Perhaps it is because the U.S. military understands the contempt that the Democrat elite have for them. After the stunt where the Obama Administration floated the trial balloon calling for <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/03/17/obama.veterans/" rel="nofollow">wounded veterans to pay for their own treatment if they have private insurance of some sort</a>, is there any doubt that the U.S. military believes that Obama and his ilk have broken faith with the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who volunteered, and have sacrificed, for their country while the Democrats sat back, slandered their good names for politics, and try to put more of that cost back on the soldiers shoulders.
