That’s a heck of a good idea, Duncan. I wish the States would have the cajones to do that.

MAS1916, the problem is, those people standing in unemployment lines have bought into the constant talking point that Bush is to blame. The Dems will still be handing out that talking point right up to the 2010 elections.

Hmm, that is interesting, John. I have to agree with Duncan, that seems rather disturbing, whereby only certain Americans are entitled to representation based on their vote. Reminds me of fascist and totalitarian countries.

John, I don’t believe anything that comes out of any politicians mouth because we all know how to tell that they’re lyin’ because of the moving of their lips.

What is lamentable is the large portion of the American electorate that bought off on the entire “Hope and Change” rhetoric and the titanic mountain of platitudes that came out of Obama’s campaign, thinking that this man would be something different when he is just more of the same. Another reason to remove the power from the ever grasping federal government into the day to day activities of our individual lives.

And the unicorns will only be given to the “party” faithful… how very…. Bolshevik… of you to say so…

Duncan you must be really quite naive to believe ANYTHING that any politician says before his election. Did you also believe Bush when he said that he was not going to attempt any “nation building” in foreign countries or that would be a “compassionate conservative” ? As far as your unicorn, sorry but that was only for people who voted for Obama, if you didn’t vote for him you aren’t entitled to one. If you really do want one, you will have another chance in 2012.

Team Obama has created such a cult following that He can get away with just about anything – for now. People are losing patience, though and the longer Obama extends the recession, the more difficult it will be to keep His grip on power past 2010.

He can designate lobbyists to write any legislation with impunity as Democrats now effectively control both houses of congress. Dems will never question Him. He is worshiped!

People will come around. Standing in the unemployment line is a good reality check.

Well Teach, I’m still waiting on my unicorn as promised by Obama and Co. during the election. I am confident once I get my unicorn, I’ll just get a hose, shove it up its ass, and hook ‘em up to my power box outside and ‘VOILA!’

Seriously though, we should look into a way to get power plants built in each state, whose power doesn’t leave the state, and then have the individual state pass a law that states the Feds can’t regulate what doesn’t constitute “interstate commerce”, much like Montana did with their gun legislation. Reassert some of that 10th Amendment again…
