An illegal immigrant has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after prosecutors say he trafficked two teenage girls in North Carolina to perform sex acts.
Prosecutors said testimony from Tuesday’s sentencing hearing found that 44-year-old Jorge Flores-Rojas trafficked a 16-year-old girl between Washington and Charlotte in 2007. They said he repeatedly sexually and physically abused the girl.
Prosecutors said he also trafficked a 17-year-old girl and an adult woman from North Carolina to Washington. They said Flores-Rojas had previously paid other people to smuggle the victims from Mexico into the United States.
Amazingly, this story only has one more paragraph. You would think it might spark a bit more discussion.
Oh you are so mean to blame that poor illegal immigrant because all he was doing was seeking to feed his family and doing a job that Americans wouldn’t do….right? Aren’t those the conventional leftists’ excuses for illegal immigrants? I know we are seeing countless public hospitals go broke thanks to people who don’t pay their fair share of taxes. Schools, public services, streets, even our car insurance rates are through the roof because these folks think that if they break one little law, they might as well break them all. And now the drug cartels are moving into Houston, heading up the road to Dallas. Which is why I am working on my concealed carry license. It’s getting scary out there when known felons are in our midst, but the authorities don’t know it and the Mexican government doesn’t care.
Exactly! All illegal immigrants are sex traffickers! Let’s get ‘em out of here! I’m so glad somebody’s thinking logically about this issue.
I think you have them down pat, Ellen. There is also the one where they try and get sarcastic and say something like “all illegals are sex traffickers, so let’s send them all back.”
But, they are all law breakers, and should be deported. And the left can never actually tell us why they are in support of illegals. I wonder why?
Teach is right. The fact that this guy happened to be trafficking in teen-age girls for sex is irrelevant. This just happens to be his crime of choice. Any other seemingly law-abiding illegal is breaking the law just for being in the US.
