Teach the argument that global warming does not continue on a perfectly graphed line fails to accept any variables when it is broken down into one year intervals. To do that would be as silly as saying that because today Jan 30th is colder than yesterday Jan 29th proves that the earth is not getting warmer. However, you have already said that you now do believe that that earth is in a warming period. Do you believe that the 7 billion humans might possibly be able to affect their environment ? Does the environment have any effect on the climate ?

Teach said: And, again, I do not disagree that the climate had warmed, with a big spike from the early 80’s through 1997.

But, even during that time period global warming stopped...several times, in fact – at least according to your “definition”(whenever temperature trends dip).

You claim the climate warmed between the early 80’s through 1997 yet clearly there were significant dips (even for five-year averages). How can you assert now that global warming has stopped?

Saying that Man is the only cause of global warming is putting up a straw man as an argument. There are many causes. BUT one is man. The global temps HAVE been rising not always in a straight line but we have not had a year with an average temp for 50 years. The fact that Holland has frozen canals for the first time since 1997 and that this ice is now considered unusual does not validate global cooling does it ? The US government says that 2008 was the 8th warmest year on record, out of 120+ years. http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/research/2008/ann/ann08.html
Wow -38 F sure is cold !! But of course it is 20 warmer than that states record cold.
So let's see you do agree that it is getting warmer, but for some reason you still think that it is important to talk about snow in the UAE. Teach before cutting and pasting do you ever bother to do any fact checking ? If you did you would find that the last time it snowed in those mountains (elevation 5700') was in 2004

Teach are you ever shamed when YOU post facts that are false ? Snow is not at all that uncommon there.

What I do disagree with is that Man was the primary or sole cause. If that was the case, wouldn’t the temps have continued to go up since 1998, rather then staying the same if not decreasing?

No, global warming does not mean that every year will be successively warmer than the previous one. The main reason for the supposed downward trend is an El Nino in 1998 of historic proportions.

But, like a kid refusing to give up their ratty old bankie or teddie bear, the Disciples Of Gore will not give up their beliefs, and while they may profess to believe in science, it is more like faith, since the science doesn’t hold up.

The science doesn't hold up to WHAT?! Please, tell me!

Besides, if AGW was so bad, don’t you think the Believers would actually practice what they preach?

Who is preaching something and not practicing it? We already went through this over and over, and yet you STILL think it's a valid point?
