Barney Frank Whines About Rev. Rick Warren

Interestingly, I don’t remember Frank complaining about Jeremiah Wright nor Michael Pfleger at the time, nor can I find any stories where he did complain, but, now

The latest criticism over President-elect Barack Obama’s controversial selection of Pastor Rick Warren to deliver his inauguration invocation comes from Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Barney Frank, one of the only openly gay members of Congress.

Frank, who appeared on CNN’s “Late Edition” on Monday called Obama’s choice of Rick Warren “a mistake,” saying that, “Giving that kind of mark of approval and honor to someone who has frankly spoken in ways I and many others have found personally very offensive, I thought that was a mistake for the president-elect to do.”

Despite the criticism, Obama continues to defend his selection of Pastor Warren, saying “Barney, come on, bub, Man Up…huh?…..ah, um, well, you know what I mean, anyhow. How about a piece of pie?”

To which Barney replies

By way of explaining what Obama might have been thinking when he chose Warren, Frank said that Obama “overestimates” his ability to charm those he disagrees with and overestimates the right’s willingness to be “post partisan.”

This could be a fun four years!

THE BIBLE SAYS ADAM AND EVE NOT, ADAM AND STEVE! Who cares what Congressman Frank says? Frank is offensive to other Americans. The media, Hollywood, New York nor Washington DC does not set the moral values of America. The media gives these groups free publicity. The gays want others to accept their way of thinking which is stupid. Americans need to step to the front and speak out for what they believe. What will be the next wrong that will be tried to be accepted. If something is wrong, it is wrong even if everyone says it is right and if something is right, it is right even if everyone says it is wrong.

They never really explain that part, chrys. Then, they never offer any alternatives to go with their complaints, except for “surrender in Iraq.”
