The few backbiters have destroyed themselves and everyone (friend and foe) who worked for the campaign. You would have to be a complete idiot to hire any one of them in the future.

Anyhow, it is nice to see Republicans fighting amongst themselves. Choosing someone from the ultra right may not be the best way to attract the Independents from the center to vote Republican in 2012. And neither will her waffling on Senator Stevens (Felon -AK) even though the “base” of the Republican PArty in AK still supports him.

I think these smears are indeed meanspirited and unnecessary. I admire Sarah Palin for standing up to these bullies. Although I was not a McCain/Palin supporter, I am not interested in hearing these personal attacks that serve absolutely no purpose. While I concur with Sarah Palin that lies and cruelty have no place in politics, I would hope that she would take a lesson from this, and recall her own mean and nasty remarks about Barack Obama as a distraction from real issues. Sometimes, what goes around comes around…and sadly, in this case…the attack dogs are from her own camp.
