Obama’s suggestion (and by the way it is a suggestion from our own energy department) helps everyone because the more people that do it, the less fuel is used overall thus increasing the potential supply for everyone and driving down the costs. Obama did something Republicans can't, he told her fact-based truth. She can control the efficiency of her vehicle. It will cut down on her costs without affecting her lifestyle or making the oil companies rich. Of course the republicans can't allow anyone to threaten the profits of the oil companies at the expense of some old lady, so they mock it. Obama has more to his energy plan and anyone can go onto his site to review it. Of course that would be facts, which might kill a republican.
