It is the rate of change that worries people the most and at this time the only thing that appears able to have increased that rate of change is the actions of the 7 billion humans. Neither volcanic or sun activity could have caused the change taht we have seen in the last 50 years. The average climate metric change. Always have, always will. The growing seasons were longer and farther north during the Global Climate Optimum, allowing a pretty good agricultural society in Greenland. Then, the Little Ice Age came along, and ruined it and killed off the vikings in greenland. It happens. Welcome to the reality of the Earth's climate. I got a good chuckle out of the Wikipedia source. Plants synthesize CO2, therefore more CO2 means more plants, which means more crops.
