Since they’re muslim, the independence is illegal, it gives moral authority to Mexicans who may declare “independence” of American southwest, and, finally, it might start a war with Russia, I’d say that it’s pretty obvious why all reasonable people can see why this is a bad thing. Nice “analysis” though.
Sorry, that was supposed to have question marks after it. Wasn’t meant to be analysis, more of a link. The story itself makes a small case that independence is good and a small one that it is not too good.
