TB Friday Featuring The Surrender Monkey: Hope…It’s All The Rage

Happy Friday to all! It’s that time of the week again! Do you have an interesting post you want to share with everyone? The official Surrender Monkey of the Democratic Party says to do what the Lefties don’t, since they all have the same talking points: link it!

The Surrender Monkey is high on hope. But, what is hope? One definition is: the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. Another could be: when you have no viable action plans, and no clue on how to implement you ideas, hope is what remains.

So, it is a good thing that B. Hussein has hope, ’cause he is not showing much else

Obama’s 45-minute speech touched on his trademark themes — hope and change — and many of those gathered said that is exactly why they are drawn to him.

Uh huh. The article was entitled “Fans see something special in Obama.” A 45 minute speech, and all that can be said is “hope and change.” I wonder what the NY Times says about this kind of activity

Having run on the idea of broad participation across society’s divisions, Mr. Obama’s campaign often seems to teeter on becoming a cult of personality — a feeling that the candidate and those around him do nothing to dispel.

How soon till B. Hussein is tagged with a moniker such as “Dear Leader?” A search of Google News for “Obama hope” returns 19,000 hits. Yahoo News, 16,800. Obviously, not all involve B. Hussein’s standard talking point, but, you get the picture.

Here’s an idea for the Libs. Next time your boss asks you how you are going to get something done, tell them “I’m not sure, but I have hope.” Let us know how that resulting rant turns out, OK?

  1. So what’s this I read about a class action against the mighty Google. Could it be they are just too good?

Don’t be such a cynic, Teach. You know what Mark Twain said? “What is a cynic? A man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing…”

Having listened to several of his speeches I find Barack Obama’s message inspiring. He is a gifted speaker. That doesn’t mean he’s necessarily earned my vote yet but I’m willing to listen.

I think you just made my “cynical” point for me, Silke.

  4. John Ryan says:

I am afraid that it might be a bit confusing to call Obama “Our Dear Leader” while Bush is still in office. Bush has a lock on that one.

Batack is a feel-good candidate. Promises everything without solutions. Maybe it has to do with the drugs he did. He got a really sweet deal on his million dollar house! Too bad we can’t all get help like that!

  6. Stacy says:

This is directly from my 17 year old son’s Myspace page.

“vote for me because im black, and i want change, i have no idea what that change is, but im goin to keep sayin give change even though i have no plan.”

From the mouths of babes. It’s so simplistic a teenager recognizes it.

  7. I think the leaders of North Korea are a bit closer to the politics that Democrats practice and preach, then what Bush does, John.

Exactly, Linda. He is feel good, and nothing.

Smart boy there, Stacy. Unfortunately, his mentality is too advanced for Democrats to understand. One has to come down to the level of a 5 year old for Libs to get it.

Pirate Nation… Poll Meister John Ryan still hasn’t answered WHY impeached Democratic President William Bubba Clinton is the only re-elected two-term democratic president since FDR in 1944… during World War II? Inquiring right-wing neo cons want to know! A few weeks ago his POLL / SPIN machine was in HILLARY mode…then “Beep Beep AAMCO…transmission problems?”
