No, I am not asking them to go there, but, to speak up about the plight of women in places like Iran. Y’all on the left seem to think that marching on Washington will change everything else. Meanwhile, Code Pink spent time a few years back in Iran, extolling how great the place was. Liberal womens groups will decry the slightest thing in the USA, but, for the most part, ignore the plight of women in Muslim countries.

I’ve actually filled out petitions with Amnesty Intn’l. And will follow this one. Just like with the ACLU, some of our beliefs, or at least end points, are the same. But, that is a good start, and is the least that the liberal womens groups could do, instead of the defeaning silence.

Oh, and by the way, you can send appeals to Iran to stop the stoning of women via Amnesty International. As a liberal woman, that’s the only thing that I know to do. Actually, I was just collecting this sort of information for a site that I am starting. What puzzles me about your question: you imply that women’s rights group aren’t concerned about the stoning of women in Iran. You are wrong. However, if you’re asking for liberal women to go to Iran to protest this action, how would we go about doing that? If you’re asking that we march on Washington, how will that change policy in Iran? It doesn’t even seem to change policy in Washington. In other words, what evidence do you have that liberal women like myself aren’t concerned about the fate of women around the globe? On the other hand, why aren’t you up in arms about 8-year old boys conscripted into armies in Africa? Do you see what a misleading question that is?

Something else you need to remember about FOTF John, is that it is an organization specifically focused on helping Christian families.

Women’s groups are unfortunately not focused on all women’s issues; just a few that decide they want to get worked up about.

John Ryan is dead wrong. There are multiple Christian organizations that denouce this. Voice of the Martyr is a large organization that devotes themselves entirely to recognizing the tragic events of Islam. And again, you were unable to stay on point.
