Teach, I’m starting to think you don’t understand this. What I’m saying is that there has been no significant CHANGE in the Sun’s output or underwater volcanoes that would account for the CHANGE in temperature. That is the data I’m asking for. We do know there has been a significant change in the CO2 content of our atmosphere and we can tell from the different isotopes where that CO2 came from (i.e. the burning of fossil fuels). We also know that with more greenhouse gases we trap more heat.

Forest fires have been caused by nature for millions of years but that doesn’t mean there are no man-made forest fires. You have to look at the evidence – history alone tells you nothing. I’m just asking for your evidence. What evidence do you have that the Sun’s output has changed or that underwater volcanic output has increased?

Yes, I do believe there is global warming, John. And, yes, I do believe Man has a small part in it. There are things that we can, and should do, particularly in the realm of keeping the ocean’s clean.

That said, I do believe that it is mostly natural, just as has happened time and time again.

Teach do you think that there is evidence of Global Warming ?
Do you think that man could be PART of the cause ? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7139797.stm I do not know of anyone who says that global warming is 100% caused by humans. However since we have little control over either volcanic activity or solar activity perhaps we should concentrate on teh things that we can do to reduce global climate change.
