Happy Friday to all! It’s that time of the week again! Do you have an interesting post you want to share with everyone? The official Surrender Monkey of the Democratic Party says to do what the Lefties don’t, since they all have the same talking points: link it!

Surrendie is confused today. As a good liberal, he loves anthropogenic global warming, as its primary purpose as a policy issue is to reallocate money for little reason, not to mention harming business, especially that dreaded Big Oil. But, he also likes a good surrender, and he is wondering if he is going to have to surrender to the inevitable, to whit, that man made global warming is pretty much a hoax
Over 400 prominent scientists from more than two dozen countries recently voiced significant objections to major aspects of the so-called “consensus” on man-made global warming. These scientists, many of whom are current and former participants in the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), criticized the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore.
The new report issued by the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee’s office of the GOP Ranking Member details the views of the scientists, the overwhelming majority of whom spoke out in 2007.
Even some in the establishment media now appear to be taking notice of the growing number of skeptical scientists. In October, the Washington Post Staff Writer Juliet Eilperin conceded the obvious, writing that climate skeptics “appear to be expanding rather than shrinking.” Many scientists from around the world have dubbed 2007 as the year man-made global warming fears “bite the dust.” In addition, many scientists who are also progressive environmentalists believe climate fear promotion has “co-opted” the green movement.
This blockbuster Senate report lists the scientists by name, country of residence, and academic/institutional affiliation. It also features their own words, biographies, and weblinks to their peer reviewed studies and original source materials as gathered from public statements, various news outlets, and websites in 2007. This new “consensus busters” report is poised to redefine the debate.
Well, I’m sure they are all in the pay of Big Oil, Big Coal, or the vast neocon conspiracy.
Check the rest of the story. Names are named, quotes are quoted. Climahysterics are getting their ad absurdem comments ready.
Gribbit is covering this story as well, over at Stop The ACLU and his site.

Many people still refuse to believe that the planet is getting warmer. They refuse to believe the pictures of the melting polar ice cap. They are like the people who refuse to believe that man walked on the moon, thinking that the “pictures” are all staged productions. Science and all of its “facts” is so confusing to them.
I have to admit this post and the one you posted five days ago on the story from ICECAP are your best ones so far on climate change. I wish I could see the counter evidence these scientists are basing their assessments on.
That’s where you’re wrong John. Many of us do believe the planet is warming. The debate is whether it is man caused or just part of the natural cycle.
Sen. Smith (R-NH) endorses Rep. Hunter for President.
This is good news for Rep. Duncan Hunter. To have one of the most Conservative senators (in New Hamphsire, no less!) endorse you is a big deal.
Have a very Merry ChristMass!
PS. My tb is messed up temporarily. Hope to have it fixed soon.
While the Arctic may be shrinking, John, the Antarctic is colder then usual. Go figure. And, BTW, it is pretty much people on your side of the aisle that have the moon landing conspiracies, along with conspiracy theories on everything else.
Why do you need to see the counter evidence? You do not seem to care for any actual substantive evidence that supports anthropogenic global warming. You yourself have talked about consensus without proof. Here are 400. I showed you the petition with 19K signatures.
However, Silke, I have a good graph to chart, but, have to scan it again. First pass had poor resolution.
I’m with you, Stacy. I believe the Earth is in a slight warming trend, and has been for around 200 years. Man does have a slight impact on the warming trend, mostly through agriculture, but, yes, the majority of the cause is natural. And more then likely, if the history of the Earth holds out, this trend will reverse in the next couple hundred years.
Teach said: Why do you need to see the counter evidence?
Because evidence is the only thing that matters in this debate. Rigorous skepticism and debate is how true science works, which is why I found this post so compelling. If credible scientists with peer-reviewed studies can show what is causing the current warming trend and it is different from the IPCC’s conclusions than I am certainly open to that evidence.
But whenever I ask you about evidence you cite yourself (for instance your link to the NASA page that showed sun spot activity actually decreasing over the last few years) you ignore me.
You say the majority of the cause is natural. What percent is natural and what exactly is the natural cause? What specific peer-reviewed scientific study do you base this on?
I hope everyone’s Christmas is happy, safe and that God blesses each and every one of you.
I’m posting some trackback links again since some of them aren’t making it through for probably several reasons. Sometimes on blogs all that shows up is a message saying “The World According To Carl pinged this post” with no information on what the trackback was although others’ trackbacks has all their pertinent info. Other times some of my trackbacks might show up but instead of having some of the text at the beginning of my entry, it has only my trackback list which is at the END of my post. Weird, ain’t it? Maybe some sort of WordPress incompatibility issue or something.
Anyway, I’m no computer expert so I’m just gonna have to live with it and sometimes post my trackback URLs in the comments section. I asked as many blogs on the Linkfest Haven trackback lists if this was acceptable and thus far all have said it was fine. So I thank all the blog owners for allowing me to do so. I don’t normally do this every time but only on the ocassions where I think my posts to trackback are important enough or interesting enough to share. Anyway here are a few more entries of mine I invite you to visit and leave comments:

I don’t know of many that say that man is the SOLE cause of global climate change. Refusing to believe that man may/does have an impact is a view held by a very small minority.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you, Bernie!
