John Ryan, there will be no wholesale house cleaning at Langley if the democrats take the White house. The enemy working at Langley are democrats. They might fire the real American agents but the enemy will remain and we will never find out who the leakers of numerous national security secrets are because they are democrats. The thing that ties the American problems togather is democrats. You think they won’t destroy you and your family if you get in their way. Ask 50+ former Clinton associates. What’s the big deal about the tapes. Millions of classified documents are destroyed daily by all governments. They are no longer useful to anyone but the enemy. Need proof of that, look at the crying and whining about two tapes by the enemy in the U.S. congress and by the public that doesn’t know one thing about the government (other than they get a welfare check every month). I just heard a stupid lawyer/professor (Turley) say you can execute a terrorists but you can’t torture them for information to stop them or his friends from destroying thousands of people. That makes sense only to a very stupid person or in most cases a democrat.

The excuse that “we were afraid that the tape was going to be leaked” just will not work. If the CIA can not keep track of one single copy of a video tape than it is time to fire a whole bunch of guys.
No doubt when the Democrats regain control of the White House in 2008 there WILL be a wholesale house cleaning at Langley. It was way too politicized the intelligence product was badly compromised. Hence our “new revised” NIE

How odd that (according to you) Sullivan is asking “did Bush or Cheney authorize it?” when (also according to you) he has already said the President did it.

Way to miss the bigger story, by the way. I am all for protecting sources and methods but even Michelle Malkin realizes this is bad.

Silke, what he meant was exactly what I stated. He did not mean the executive branch: Andy meant President Bush. That is born out by his history.

And, yes, I did read the whole thing. And, in advocating that they find out who authorized, he means “did Bush or cheney authorize it?”, despite the CIA saying they did it on their own. BTW, it was done to preotect ways and means of their operations, which all you excitable people seem to want to give to Islamic extremists.
