When these guys turned in their paper work (I know how much there is) then why didn't the supervisors ask questions then? There were also other agents in the area. Where is their paper work? On a job when everyone of your bullets are counted, I am not getting why there were not any questions asked at the time. These guys should not be in jail for doing their jobs. This DA Sutton should be in jail not the agents. Sutton is a disgrace. When he finally winds up in jail it should be gen pop not isolation. Then the justice system compounds it by a lite sentence. And you are right, the sentence for Compean and Ramos is extreme, Stacy. And that is the point, John. Not that they did not deserve some punishment, but that they got treated well beyond what they did, while the illegal alien/drug smuggler got treated like royalty, even though the DEA was investigating him. My nephew, one of eight killed by a drunk driver, his killer only served a couple years. He is currently in a half-way house. I am aware of the misdoings of Compean and Ramos, but the sentence does seem a bit extreme. There are so many things wrong with our justice system.
