Happy Friday to all! It’s that time of the week again! Do you have an interesting post you want to share with everyone? The official Surrender Monkey of the Democratic Party says to do what the Lefties don’t, since they all have the same talking points: link it

Hey, the Surrender Monkey is in a playful mood today, as he has gotten ahold of the latest Soldier Of Surrender magazine. His favorite. Never misses an issue, has saved them for decades. Heck, his Mom and Dad have passed them down as family heirlooms. He loves the website, too, and is thrilled with the latest Ron Paul interview (via Jay at Stop The ACLU)
CHETRY: You’ve gotten a lot of support because of your anti-war stance, your belief that we should pull out of Iraq. But how would you do that in practicality and make that work at the point we’re in now?
PAUL: Well, one thing we know is what we’re doing now isn’t working. You know, this is our worst year for Americans killed in Iraq. So the surge was an absolute failure, and now, we’re no closer to a peaceful country.
CHETRY: We’ve seen for the past three months, those numbers actually dramatically decline. At the beginning of the year, we did have a spike in U.S. troops but since then it has declined.
PAUL: Yes. Yes, but the surge has been going on, you know, for more months than that and we have to look at, over the year. But the odds of all of a sudden, us coming up with a unified, Democratic country in Iraq is unbelievable.
I’ll say, there is much to like about Ron Paul. He has some fantastic ideas, he believes in fiscal conservatism, small government, low taxes, as well as some other great ideas. He seems to be pretty honest, at least for a politician. I can understand why so many Libertarians and Conservatives (American style, also known as neo-cons) are supporters. That said, what turns the rest of us off is he flirting with the Truthers-he may or may not be one, but he sure isn’t distancing himself from them, his isolationist attitudes, his thinking that we can just leave the Middle East and we would have no more terrorist issues, and his surrender in Iraq policies.
Yes, Iraq has been a tough road, and mistakes have been made. It is a whole new type of warfare being used, a new way of getting it done, and the end goal is, as General Fil has said, “within sight but not yet within touch.” Good news is coming out of Iraq to the point that the MSM must take notice, which the makers of Pepto Bismal loves.
A few others covering: Wake Up America, alphabet city, Questions and Observations, and Amy Proctor (who caught the vid first)

Send a trackback to this post, but don’t forget to link it. Otherwise, the SM might poop in your fruit loops.

One could interpret Ron Paul’s message as one of surrender, but I interpret it as one of concentrated power. Why? Because yanking our troops out of the Middle East and other nations will allow us to keep a STRONG national defense, focused COMPLETELY on national defense instead of defending and subsidizing other nations (many of which disrespect and backstab us). bringing the troops home means not having our military thinly spread out over the globe and actually HERE to defend our soil. We could use increased border security, for example. Another great benefit is having all the extra money available for critical infrastructure and disaster preparedness.
It’s NOT surrendering…it’s just a realignment of our priorities. One must remember: Ron Paul voted IN FAVOR of striking Afghanistan.
I’m not a dove…far from it. I like Ron Paul’s plan because I believe it will offer America a stronger defense…and a kick-butt offense if needed.
Ron Paul IS continuiing to move upward in the national polls. In the last poll he was at 4% of all Republicans, Thompson was at 7%.
This was done before Robertson endorsed Giuliani, I believe that this move to endorse a pro abortion canidate will force even more to support Paul. I can see him reaching 10%.
Gene, it is surrendering, and institution isolationist policy in a vastly open global economy. It is also blaming the USA for the fact that so many of the Muslims are purely savages. Which gives me another reason to deride Paul supporters.
John, he can move up all he wants. I give him credit for getting otherwise sane people to buy in to his ideas while ignoring his glaring deficiencies. But, he will not win the nomination. There will be no Howard Dean style meltdown among a front runner leading to a Kerry, who the left did not want mostly to start with.
he might get to 10%. And, BTW, for pure clarity, I am not a fan at all of Fred, or, since others were calling him Fred!, I call him Fred? He doesn’t excite me or motivate me at all, not too pleased with what he stands for or his voting record, and he was just too wishy washy in getting in to the race. Some point out that Reagan got in late, but, then, Reagan did not wiffle waffle for 4-5 months.
Teach! you KNOW you are asking for it here! LOL
A good Ron Paul post always brings them out
Hey John Ryan: RINO Ron Paul is 40% conservative + 10% libertarian + 50% full of banana dung which is ape sh*t!
- That’s 100% accurate!
