Happy Monday! The start of a new work week. Time to get busy, make an impression, revolutionize outside the box. How ’bout a beer?
Eating their own, back on August 10
Led by Democrats since the start of this year, Congress now has a "confidence" rating of 14 percent, the lowest since Gallup started asking the question in 1973 and five points lower than Republicans scored last year.
The voters put the Democrats in to end the war, and it’s escalating. The Democrats voted the money for the surge and the money for the next $459.6 billion military budget. Their latest achievement was to provide enough votes in support of Bush to legalize warrantless wiretapping for "foreign suspects whose communications pass through the United States." Enough Democrats joined Republicans to make this a 227-183 victory for Bush. The Democrats control the House. Speaker Nancy Pelosi could have stopped the bill in its tracks if she’d wanted to. But she didn’t. The Democrats’ game is to go along with the White House agenda while stirring up dust storms to blind the base to their failure to bring the troops home or restore constitutional government.
And it continues on an on. Seriously, what did they really think they were going to get? Responsibility and nutroots style action from the DNC and the elected Dems? Even old Howie "I have a scream" Dean isn’t really helping them out.
But, fortunately, the Nutroots agenda is helping the Republicans
Capitol Hill Republicans are getting a much-needed fundraising boost from a newspaper advertisement in which the liberal group MoveOn.org accused Iraq war commander Gen. David H. Petraeus of lying, strategists say.
Republican candidates and party committees are frequently citing the ad in fundraising solicitations and campaign materials to attack Democratic opponents for not condemning the ad, which was published in the New York Times three weeks ago today.
Why not try something else along the same lines, Dems? They are constantly being exposed for the America haters they are.
"Not only has the MoveOn debacle confirmed the American public’s suspicion that Democrats, since the 1960s, remain beholden to the far-left fringe of their party’s base, but it also speaks to the more current problem that Democrats face, which is their inability to act decisively on any measure," NRCC spokesman Ken Spain said.
Which ties in nicely to the Alternet article.
Once we move in to 2009, and we prepare for the General Elections, the Nutroots will become more and more hysterical, demanding more and more from whoever is running, from the local level up to the presidential contender level, and will expose themselves even more.

http://www.galluppoll.com/content/default.aspx?ci=1600
2007 Sep 14-16 Congress and the public
“Do you approve or diaprove of the way the Republicans/Democrats are habdling their job ?
Percent who approve of Democrats 37%
Percent who approve of Republicans 29%
Yes it is truw that the Democrats are doing poorly, but the Republicans are doing even WORSE
Also done at the same time was a question on party affiliation.
“As of today do you lean more towards the Republicans or the Democrats”
Republicans (including leaners) 39%
Democrats (including leaners) 54%
Darth don’t embarass yourself take a good look at the polls, not just one cherry picked number.
Not to rub your face in it but probably the most telling poll question was;
“Next please tell me whether you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of each of the following parties
Favorable opinion of the Democratic Party 53%
Favorable opinion of the Republican Party 38%
Although you may try to flatter me by calling me a pollmeister reading graphs is not really difficult why I bet even you could do it if you tried.
