our relatives live in Queens & Long Island…. Gunny Dad attended his WW II / Korean War reunion in SF on 9-11-01… he was offered a flight on ~UF93~ but told my wife he didn’t feel like driving to North Jersey to leave on 9-11-01, and would rather depart from Philly instead on 9-10-01…When he and the Greatest generation awoke from partying all night and watching the NY Giants lose to Denver on MNF 31-20,
they were in disbelief at 06:48 am and 07:03 am (pst)… “Everything we sacrificed during WW II to defend our shores against the Nazi and Jap and Italian enemies …. ”
