Do you want a cool $100,000? Do you believe Mankind is the cause of Global Warming? Here is your chance to prove and profit
WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — ‘Can you save Al Gore?’ is the title of a YouTube video released today announcing the $100,000 Ultimate Global Warming Challenge (UltimateGlobalWarmingChallenge.com).
According to the Ultimate Global Warming Challenge rules, the first person to prove — in a scientific manner and according to contest rules — that manmade emissions of greenhouse gases are causing catastrophic climate change will win $100,000 — and, perhaps most importantly, save Al Gore from his self-made, inconvenient iceberg — as depicted on the YouTube video.
"Here’s the opportunity for global warming alarmists to flaunt all the conclusive evidence that they say exists," said Steve Milloy, founder and publisher of JunkScience.com, the sponsor of the Ultimate Global Warming Challenge.
Can you do it? Do you have the cajones, not to mention some, um, facts? We know that you talk the the talk, but refuse to walk the walk. But, can you bring some facts to the talk?
Meanwhile
CHICAGO, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Best-selling author Dennis Avery is the next prominent figure to challenge the facts Al Gore is promoting in his global warming crusade. Mr. Avery is co-author of Unstoppable Global Warming Every 1,500 Years. Both Al Gore and Dennis Avery have New York Times best-selling books on global warming, but with opposite conclusions.
Gore has refused all debate challengers to date. Joseph Bast, president of The Heartland Institute, noted, "Maybe it’s because climate alarmists tend to lose when they debate climate realists. Or because most scientists do not support climate alarmism." The Heartland Institute has run more than $500,000 of ads in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Washington Times promoting a debate.
And he is refusing to debate Avery. I wonder why?

Do you have an interesting post? Well, go ahead and leave a trackback, with a reciprical link back to me. Otherwise, I will put ice cubes in your underwear drawer.

Are you saying global warming may be a farce? Cool!!!! I’ll add a $1 to the prize winning pot!
Very few people who believe in Global Cimate Change believe that Man is the sole cause.
Do you rule out completely 6 billion humans and their machines having ANY effect on the planet in any way ?
Have to make sure Silke see’s this one, Greta
John, this issue is that the climate change believers think that man is the major and primary cause. Some do actually believe Man is the sole cause.
I will not lie and say that I do not believe Man has some influence. I do. But, it is the minority, and life on Earth has certainly always been a factor. Heck 6 billion+ humans must have some influence, especially when it comes to agriculture.
But, most is natural. Has happened before, will happen again. And all this Climate change yapping, particularly on CO2 output, takes the focus away from real environmental issues. Believe it or not, I am very much an environmentalist.
Teach, the way I understand it man’s contribution is tipping the balance. If you think of a see-saw, and man is contributing even 10-15% (which is what I believe you have quoted in the past), this is enough to cause a change.
Earth’s climate is a very complex system and every year our scientific understanding gets better and better. The latest IPCC report provides specific values to all the different factors that contribute to climate change (both man-made and natural). So if I were a betting person I would send them this report:
