I am wondering, is there any provision to recall Senator Richard Burr? So far, the man has been a waste and an embarrasment for the People of North Carolina. His legislative record is a joke, and, he is completely unresponsive to constituents. And by unresponsive, I mean the man does not respond. I have sent him numerous emails, and have even taken to writing letters. So have many other Conservatives and Liberals I know. Yet, not one response.

Maybe Burr is trying to be Earth friendly and not kill trees for paper. He, or a staff flunky, could reply by email. I have sent email messages to Dole, McCain, Kerry, Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, and several others, and have generally recieved either a letter or an email. Even Brad Miller responds, though it tends to be well over a month later, and usually too late. But not Burr. Yet, hysterically, this appears when you email him

And now, we find that Burr voted against the Iraq supplemental. One of three Republicans to vote "nay."

Burr has provided no explanation. There is nothing on his government website, nor in any news source that I can find, that explains his position.

He is also unresponsive regarding the amnesty bill. The only thing I have seen from him is a brief blurb that he declined an interview with the Raleigh News and Observer, and that he would have a position once the debate starts.

To wrap up, I sent him another email, and will mail a letter, asking him to explain his position on the Iraq supplemental. I do not expect an answer.
