Carl, I didn’t take those statements out of context, they had no context to begin with. That’s why I asked you to provide the full context, I cannot find it, you did not provide it. I’m not sure what original statement were false? That he “loved to hate”? That’s my opinion, can you not see that? I’m not trying to smear the man, merely trying to figure out why a man so devoted to the Lord could say such things.

floyd, you took statements woefully out of context. You continued to make false statements about Jerry Falwell even after it was pointed out the original statements you made were false. Those make you disingenuous and a liar. You continue to attempt to smear the man and make insulting, uncivil and vitriolic comments about him. That makes you a hater. And since you have shown yourself a hater while falsely accusing someone else of hatred, that makes you a hypocrite. None of that constitutes personal attacks, but accurate assessment based upon your own comments. The fact that you continue to attempt to redirect the focus away from the point at hand only adds to your deceitfulness.

In short, you lose. Now until you are able and willing to engage in intelligent discourse WITHOUT the ad hominem, red herrings and non sequiturs I am done with you. However I must thank you for proving your own dishonesty and hypocrisy by your own words. It makes it easier to identify you. Goodbye.

Those quotes are all past tense and were made after he died. It’s not exactly in good form for a public figure to insult a dead man. But, yes, I concede there were people that liked him.. There are also people that worship Manson, Gein, Bundy, and Dahmer, would you defend THEIR actions?

Floyd it is impossible because your accusation is not true. The man was a minister of the gospel you hate him because he says and stands for his faith. You hate the fact that he says that homosexual conduct is sin. However he makes it known he loves the sinner and offers help. He is like all major faiths have the same tenet in regard to homosexual conduct. He also believed in prayer and Christians having the same political rights as anyone else. That is what you hate. You sir are the hater and I will do as the Rev. wpuld do and pray for you. I will also pray for my self because we are all sinners and fall short of Gods glory.

floyd, you just don’t get it, do you? I have not attacked you, just exposed your dishonesty and hatred from your own comments. You still have not supported your claims nor will I expect you to do so since the facts remains they are false.

As to those who have spoken of highly of Jerry Fallwell, they run the gamut of those who were in Christian ministries, business, politics, educators, conservatives, liberals, etc. People ranging from Franklin Graham to Larry Flynt became friends with Jerry Falwell and every one who knew him who have publicly made statements all agree that he truly cared about others whether they agreed with him or not. Jerry Falwell’s nature was to hate the sin but not the sinner which is exactly what is taught in the Bible. Jesse Jackson spoke well of him in memorium and said Falwell was a caring person (

Pointing out your dishonesty, hypocrisy and hatred is not a personal attack on you, just showing the truth and motiviation behind your personal attacks.

That’s just a sample of those who actually knew him well and none of them ever claimed anything remotely similar to your claim that he loved to hate. You’re simply wrong, floyd and you are so blinded to the truth that you refuse to see anything but your own distorted fabrications. The facts contradict your falsehoods but you now admit you will never accept anything else but your slanderous delusion so it is now clear that I am wasting my time with you. Enjoy your hatred. Embrace the bitterness. It will only consume you.

Wow, talk about thin skinned. I didn’t say anything NEAR as bad as what YOU have called ME. I said he “loved to hate”, WOW, HOW SLANDEROUS! :rolleyes:

I still don’t know how I didn’t “take responibility” for my comments. I wrote them, that should be enough.

I haven’t seen this “overwhelming evidence in the form of personal testimonials” perhaps you could link to them? Or perhaps link a website that has those quotes in FULL context so that my opinion may be changed?

And no, that didn’t “slip by me”, but thanks.

Floyd you can not give an example where Falwell has proven he loves to hate. The only thing he said I believe that was wrong was his comments that America and it’s conduct had brought on the attacks of 9/11. He freely admitted he was wrong. we have all made mistakes but even that remark was taken out of context as to how he meant it in a bibical sense. But Floyd you have proven how you hate the man because you disagree with his views.

Floyd, it’s not up to me…you made the initial claims therefore it is you that should provide the context if you truly are interested in truth and honesty. However as evidenced by your clear hatred for Jerry Falwell, I doubt very much if you are sincerely interested in either.

How have you not taken responsibility for your actions? By continuing to make false accusations, slanderous remarks and fabricated claims against someone in such a disrespectful, hateful manner. You falsely accuse Jerry Falwell of hate when it is you that is guilty of hate. You refuse to take responsibility for your dishonesty here. You refuse to take responsibility for the vitriol that you have spewed forth here. You refuse to take responsibility for attempting to direct the focus away from the point at hand.

Your accusation that Jerry Falwell “loved to hate” is simply slanderous and indicative of your own hatred. It has blinded you to the overwhelming evidence in the form of personal testimonials from those who knew him very closely that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jerry Falwell did NOT hate others even if he vehemently disagreed with them. Even Larry Flynt, someone who took great pride and joy in humiliating Dr. Falwell many years ago got to know him personally and developed a great friendship although they still disagreed on numerous issues. But apparently that slipped by you.

It’s the haters like yourself that keep falsely accusing Jerry Falwell of hatred. It’s obvious you have no intention of being truthful about this and regarding Jerry Falwell. Your hatred has clouded your reasoning, logic, judgment and civility.
