Why is Nichols still at William & Mary? If my actions were to cost my employer 12 million dollars my butt would be on the street in minutes.

I don’t care if the school has been public since 1906. Why and by whom was it founded? It wasn’t a secular school then.

William & Mary is the second oldest colleges in our 230-year history! At Boston College, my fellow Roman Cadillacs removed the crucifixes from their classrooms as well to appease the Liberal $ecular Progre$$ive$! Notre Dame allowed the Vagina Monologue$ on campus as well. Now you know why we opted to send our children to Red State Universities further

Actually, the cross was removed by Mr. Nichols in an effort to be more “inclusive” and politically correct. This case has a long history.

Previously groups using the sanctuary that did not want the cross displayed could ask that it be removed to a locked cabinet. Mr. Nichols’ decision was to keep it locked up all the time and to require groups that wanted it present (the primary users of the chapel) to request that it be unlocked and brought out.

Maybe the cross was removed to placate one donor and then they lose money from another donor for rmoving it. If they put it back up, the previous donor’s contribution was smaller.

Part of the reason for this is that Secular Progressives feel threatened by Christianity’s notions of Sin, Repentance and Forgiveness.

I would almost be willing to bet that a lot of them are simply backsliding little “c” Christians. They were raised in the Christian faith, but don’t accept it themselves so they feel the need to suppress the reminders of it wherever they can.
