Pardon The Border Agents: Breaking News

I'm going to simply excerpt from the Grassfire.org email from Steve Elliot, Grassfire president

While Ron De Jong and I were presenting 304,000 citizen petitionsto Rep. Rohrabacher on Capitol Hill, we were shocked when the Congressman informed us that the Department of Homeland Security(DHS) had admitted to members of Congress…

…that they had lied to Congress about the case against imprisoned agents Ramos and Compean.

Under questioning by Rep. Culberson, a DHS investigator admitted that his department did NOT have evidence to back up a number ofoutrageous claims including: Mexican/American agents Ramos and Compean "wanted to shoot a Mexican"; confessed to shooting anunarmed suspect; were belligerent to investigators; lied and submitted false reports; and stated during the investigation that the illegal alien did not pose a threat.

In addition, the DHS admitted that it began its prosecution BEFORE completing their investigation!

William, this is explosive news and we must now act swiftly to intensify grassroots pressure–pressure that is making the difference in this case!

I am asking all members of our team to schedule EMERGENCY FAXES to the President, the Justice Department, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, as well as your two Senators, your Representative and other key leaders.

Go here to schedule your faxes demanding an immediate pardon and a full investigation of DHS, Johnny Sutton and this entire sordid affair: http://www.grassfire.org/3142/offer.asp?rid=12078817

f you'd prefer not to use our Faxfire service and would rather send the faxes on your own, please feel free to use our letters. The fax list and letters can easily be downloaded simply by visiting the Faxfire page:http://www.grassfire.org/3142/offer.asp?rid=12078817

WT and Conservative Buccos…I can’t believe that two US Border Patrol agents with flawless job performance records and prior U.S. military service were thrown into the lions den after the FEDS took the words of a known DRUG DEALER ‘Tony Scarface Montana’ scumbag… over the words of our two USBP agents and their defense counselors and witnesses! Don’t give me “they were tried by a jury of their own peers” BS because OJ SIMPSON was too! If Saddam Hussein was tried in LA or Detroit last year the Butcher of Baghdad would be a free dictator at the moment! Now Tony Snow told us yesterday that “they can’t obtain the court transcripts because somebody was sick?” I was stationed in the Republic of Texas in the 70’s and what a patriotic and GOD blest state the Lone Star State is! This whole nightmare can’t be happening in the Bush #43 administration – but it IS! WHY was one USBP agent transferred to a dangerous general prison population in Yazoo ‘In The Heat Of The Night’ Mississippi? This whole sickening nightmare wreaks of drug payoff / bribery deals – no doubt! I thought these two USBP agents would be incarcerated on a US military installation until President Bush reviewed this tragedy. I
ache for their families and loved ones, and for ALL of our HERORIC US Border Patrol agents. I’m disgusted and shocked by the FEDS – bigtime!

A recently retired, high-ranking DEA official is calling on Congress to investigate the role played by a U.S. Attorney in the cover-up of an informant’s participation in mass murder in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.

The DEA official, Sandalio Gonzalez, is pointing the finger squarely at Johnny Sutton, the U.S. Attorney in San Antonio, Texas. He claims that had Sutton taken action sooner in the case, more than a dozen people might still be alive today. As a result, Gonzalez says Congress must act now to get to the bottom of what Sutton knew, and when he knew it.

According to Gonzalez, who, until January of this year, served as special agent in charge of the DEA’s El Paso field office, Sutton was clearly aware of the informant’s participation in the murders by at least Feb. 24, 2004. That’s when Gonzalez fired off a letter to Sutton blowing the whistle on the informant’s role in the murders.

While working as an ICE informant, Lalo participated in up to a dozen murders between August 2003 and mid-January 2004 at the House of Death in Ciudad Juárez. Lalo had penetrated a narco-trafficking organization — headed by Heriberto Santillan-Tabares — that employed police officers in Juárez to help carry out the murders.

Public records show that Lalo assisted with the murders, with the knowledge of his ICE handlers and an assistant U.S. attorney in El Paso, Texas. Once the news of the murders became public, the law enforcers involved in the botched drug-war case went to great lengths to cover up their involvement — with the assistance of high-level officials within DHS and the Department of Justice, including the U.S. Attorney in San Antonio, Johnny Sutton.

In February 2004, Sandalio Gonzalez, who was the head of DEA’s operations in El Paso, wrote a letter to Sutton and an ICE official to express his concerns about the ICE agents’ complicity in the murders — which ultimately led to an attempt being made on the lives of a DEA agent and his family by narcos connected to the House of Death.
