ACLU Loves Illegals, Sues Texas Town

I don't know how many times I have written "does the ACLU not understand that American Rights apply only to Americans?", guess I will write it again

Two civil rights groups filed a lawsuit Tuesday challenging a suburb's new law that outlaws renting to illegal immigrants, alleging the ordinance violates federal law and forces landlords to act as immigration officers.

The American Civil Liberties Union and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund filed the suit on behalf of Farmers Branch residents and landlords.

"Immigration enforcement must be left to the federal government, not each local municipality," said Lisa Graybill, legal director of the ACLU of Texas. "Otherwise Texas will end up with a patchwork system that is impractical and unenforceable."

The other part of what I constantly write in reference to the ACLU is "have they ever read the Constitution?"

Amendment X reads "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

The power to control illegal immigration is to be found nowhere in the United States Constitution. The closest it comes is about creating rules for Naturalization.

What this is really about is the liberal need to have the Federal gov't control everything, removing all power from the States and the People, in direct violation of the 10th Amendment.

Plus, quite frankly, liberals being idiots. I really do not want to assign to much thought to what they actually do.
