CAIR Retained As Legal Council

Despite all reports saying that US Airways did everything correct, and that the Imams were completely in the wrong, we get this absurdity

WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 /U.S. Newswire/ — The Council on American- Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced today that five of the six American Muslim imams recently removed from a US Airways flight in Minnesota have retained the Washington-based civil rights group as their legal counsel.

Airline and law enforcement officials say the imams were taken off the flight Nov. 20 for alleged "suspicious activity." They were handcuffed and questioned for several hours by authorities before being released. CAIR, along with other civil rights organizations, has called for congressional hearings on religious and ethnic profiling at airports in response to the incident.

Um, yeah, whatever. Stupidity requires no discussion.

But, wait, the news release goes for humor

CAIR, America's largest Islamic civil liberties group, has 32 offices and chapters nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

Funny stuff!

  1. jack says:

I say give them the hearings. In doing so also demand all info of the imans past, financial records, CAIRs past history, CAIRs financial records … everything.

  2. True, but you know the liberal media will paint them as the innocent recipients of rampant American bias.
