You will need a beer after you read this:
Democrats, who won majorities in the U.S. Congress in last week's elections, said on Sunday they will push for a phased withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq to begin in four to six months.
"We need to begin a phased redeployment of forces from Iraq in four to six months,"(Carl) Levin said.
Speaking on the same program, Sen. Joseph Biden (news, bio, voting record), a Delaware Democrat who is expected to head the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said he supported Levin's proposal for a withdrawal.
Less then a week after the elections, the Democrats are already pushing their cut and run policy from Iraq as their official policy.
“We need to redeploy,” Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada said on CBS’ “Face The Nation.”
That decision should be made by military officers in Iraq, he said. “And I think it should start within the next few months.”
Told ya!
Michelle M discusses this subject, plus the poll that shows that Americans really do not want to cut and run.
Stop The ACLU has a ton on this subject, as well.

Do you have an interesting post? Or just a post?

I would start having a conversation with the wench. It would be a one way conversation and I would not allow it to stop no matter how pissed I could make her.
As for the rest. I am pissed and worried for America
I honestly don’t know why some of my trackbacks don’t get identified properly. That last one dated November 13th, 2006 at 12:21 pm should have been titled “I TOLD YOU SO! Democrats’ Cut-And-Run Plans In The Works” and had part of the first paragraph there which reads, in part:
“I have been saying all along that if the Democrats took control of both the House and Senate one of the first things they would do is to work out a plan to withdraw the troops from Iraq before the job is finished leaving the Iraqi government vulnerable to collapse, allowing Iran to invade and empowering terrorists all over the world.”
So if you’re interested in reading the rest and maybe going to the links provided in the entry, feel free.
In the meantime, I’m going to see if I can figure out why some of my trackbacks here keep not showing up normally. Weird.
Linked to your post from Breaking News –> Saddam has escaped!!!
Probably has something to do with sending pingbacks and trackbacks, Carl. Try going in to options>discussion and turn off the “attempt to notify.”
I’ll manually get you, bernie.
