I'm just wonder: can anyone find any hints of actual violence during the protests in this AP article. I couldn't. Just one small paragraph down near the end:

"If I get hold of the pope, I will hang him," Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, a senior MMA leader, told protesters in Islamabad, who carried placards reading "Terrorist, extremist Pope be hanged!" and "Down with Muslims' enemies!"

Just normal Muzzie rhetoric. Of course, unlike many who chant and protest, Ahmed would actually attempt what he said.

But, I just couldn't find any actual violence in the story. Unlike in this Al Jazeera story

Thousands of Muslims staged anti-pope marches in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza on Friday, waving green Hamas banners and denouncing the pontiff as a coward.

Late on Friday, assailants hurled three small pipe bombs at a Greek Orthodox church in Gaza City. A church official said there was little damage to the church and no injuries.

In the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian police guarding a Roman Catholic church exchanged fire with would-be assailants and eventually chased them away, residents said.

Abdel Salam Abu Rob, who lives near the church, said intensive shooting was heard for about 20 minutes. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Oh, so there was typical religion of peace activity during the protests. Add in some on-line petitions, and you would have a democratic party rally.

Hmm, I wonder why an Egyptian is using a symbol of a group that the Democratic Party started?
