Don’t pay a lot of attention to Huff & Puff or DU. There are some really sick puppies on both sites. I suspect that most of their comments come streight from one of the mental facilities for the criminally insane. I hope Osama lingers near death for weeks or months. He can live in a cave but the medical care in that part of the world in 18th century. It’ll be a painful death.

You woudn’t get him with ordinary fast acting poisons, because some hapless aid would be tasting his food first. Pyphoid takes a few weeks to develop and would get by a taster.

Personally speaking (and somewhat tongue-in-cheek) I find it somewhat suspect off the top since it’s coming from “French intelligence” (isn’t that somewhat of a oxymoron?). Secondly, unless and until there is solid, confirmed evidence of bin Laden’s death, then it’s nothing but unsubstantiated rumor that does not deserve consideration. My gut feeling is that bin Laden was seriously injured during the attacks at Tora Bora and was convinced not to ever appear on camera again due to his infirmed nature (speculation is that in the radical Islamic world, leaders should not be infirmed and if they are, move on to someone else immediately because in their view, an infirmed person is a weak person). I believe that’s why subsequent taped threats were audio-only. The absence of audio from bin Laden of late implies that he is too infirmed to provide audio and he may even be dead, but again, that’s merely speculation with no hard facts at this point.
