As for McCain – there’s just no F’ing way he can ever make anything up to me. I know a slimy bastard when I see one. (Gee I really hope Google picks this comment up. Maybe under “McCain is a slimy bastard” not that I have stron feelings about him or anything.

The trackback – I think it must be me. Seriously I pinged about 6 or 7 people and only half showed up. Maybe I’ve forgotten how to do this…or maybe I’ve never worked the bugs out of the new blog.

Yeah, I don’t think McCain will make it. I originally thought he could, but he has been getting way too wonky as of late. He would have to do alot of making up in the next 1 1/2 as the primaries start.

I checked SpamKarma, don’t see any TB in there, nada in the “moderate” cue.

I’ve heard the argument that Hillary can’t win becuase no one wants to continue the Bush/Clinton/Bush streak but I have trouble applying that argument to Jeb Bush. He’s been a fantastic governor for Florida. Our unemployment is well below 4% and our growth rate is huge. Our state has a record budget surplus even after getting slammed with all the hurricanes. Despite what you may hear in the media, Jeb is a very, very popular here and I think he’d easily win Florida in a presidential race.

The question is could Hillary get the same support? I don’t think so. I think in trying to move to the right she’s really alienated the more radical factions of the Democratic party. They are the type to cut off their noses to spite their faces.

Do I think she’ll be the nominee? Yes. Do I think she can win? No, not unless the Republican nominee is John McCain. Then I think a lot of Republicans will stay home. Why? Because, really, just what is the difference between the two?

That makes a compelling argument for Jeb Bush not running. Kos makes a good one about having someone from outside the beltway, but, he also misses the point that that is what we had, with 8 of slick and 8 of GWB. For the most part, any one from the Dem side who has a shot will be from inside the beltway.

The best argument I’ve heard so far about Hillary not getting elected is continuing the bi-monarchy that would be established: 4 years Bush, 8 years Clinton, 8 years GW Bush = 16 years. Putting Hill in the White House for even 4 would make it two decades of the BUSH-CLINTON bi-monarchy. People in America just aren’t going to think that’s a great idea…even if it is a subconscious decision for many.
